
The Northwest Corridor Express Lanes project was a milestone for Hubbard Construction and the Georgia DOT, as the largest contract of its kind in Georgia state history with a contract value of $834 million. The project added 29.7 miles of express lanes alongside I-75 and I-575 to the existing Georgia Express Lanes System, and was built to improve the reliability of travel time to the metro Atlanta area.
Project highlights included:
-Construction of more than three-dozen bridges
-63 retaining walls
-1 million cubic yards of excavated dirt
-140,000 linear ft of drainage pipe
-280,000 linear ft. of barrier wall
-315,000 sq. yards of concrete paving
-350,000 tons of asphalt paving
