Hubbard Construction set to build new $218M roadway improvements for Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX).
With the goal of improving regional connectivity and local conditions with two new construction projects on State Road 408 between Tampa Avenue and the I-4 interchange, the CFX has contracted Hubbard Construction to add a new eastbound lane between Orange Blossom Trail and I-4, rebuild the Tampa Avenue interchange, and realigning several nearby ramps.
Once finished, the upgrades are expected to reduce congestion, improve travel times—especially during events—and enhance the area with better sidewalks, lighting, and landscaping.
